I have a hole in my competition schedule in August and the 4th. Saturday is available at Pala. I've been approached for both pistol and a practical rifle class recently so I'd offer a vote and conduct the class that has the most interest.

The Intermediate Pistol class would be for those already familiar with the basics and want to learn techniques to be used if wounded or use of their dominate hand was unavailable. Almost all shooting will be done one handed. Shooting on the move while getting off the "X" as well as Support Hand only presentations and manipulations will be the focus.
We will be covering "ground fighting" in this class and you will doing things with your pistol you didn't think you could do. I have provided this class exclusively to law enforcement and security, but I think it's time for everyone to be included.

Practical Rifle/Carbine class is just what the name implies, urban rifle techniques. Basics of marksmanship will be reviewed, rapid presentation of the rifle from various carries, positional shooting, reloading, malfunction clearing and use of cover are most of the high points. Any pistol caliber or rifle caliber (no belted magnums) guns.
Can be: Semi-auto, Bolt action or Lever action - sorry no double guns or single shots.
Optics are ok, however ironsights are encouraged. Please have your gun zeroed for 100 yards. Will confirm zeros, but sighting in takes a lot of class time. If you do not know how to zero your rifle prior to class, email me.

Class is this Saturday (the 28th), I have some room left in class. After watching some of you shoot the IDPA classifier and any USPSA stage requiring "weak hand" engagement, I'd think the class you be over flowing, because all I hear is "I need more work with my weak hand"

Well Gents, this is your opportunity. You will be better with all your one handed shooting.

For anyone still trying to decide I can tell you from first hand experience that Larry's classes are well worth the time - you will come away a better, smarter shooter.
