IDPA Matches are held on the last Sunday of every month. The match typically consists of four stages and follows IDPA rules. In addition to an IDPA legal handgun you will need a holster, 2 mag pouches, a cover garment, and approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Ammunition may be purchased at the range. Doors for the match open at 7:00AM, mandatory shooters meeting starts at 7:15AM, and we begin shooting at 7:30AM sharp. The match generally lasts until 10:00AM or a little after, at which time the range opens to the general public. Current match fee is $15.

Lemon Grove Rod and Gun Club
Description:
6 Creative stages with a mix of steel and paper targets using ICORE rules. Relaxed setting makes this a great match for new shooters.
Any semi-auto pistol or revolver capable of holding 6 rounds, holster or gun bag, 130 rounds of ammunition, a minimum of 3 magazines or speed loaders, eye protection (shooting glasses), hearing protection and a desire to have some fun. Holsters must be attached at the belt level unless it is a cowboy rig. No shoulder holsters or cross-draw rigs are to be used. Cross-draw rigs may be used by Cowboy Action Shooter participants on a case-by-case basis. As an alternate to a holster, a gun rug or range bag may be used to store the firearm while not being used.
There is a similar .22LR only match on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Man versus Man is probably our most popular Thursday night match and is held on the second Thursday of the month. We setup two identical (mirror image) courses of fire that include a mixture of paper and steel targets. Both shooters race to complete their course of fire and be the first to drop the stop plate. The match will test your ability to use cover, shoot on the move, manage your ammunition, and perform under pressure. We usually shoot four stages, after the first stage shooters are paired by ability. The course of fire is changed between stages.
